Structure

Tasks entrusted to the Reserve and subordinate zakazniks are implemented by the following departments:

 

  • Protection Department of the Reserved Territory
  • Protection Department of Federal Zakazniks
  • Scientific Department
  • Department of Ecological Education
  • Department for Maintenance of Basic Activities
  • Accounting and Reporting Department
  • Personnel and Legal Departmen

 

Protection Department of the Reserved Territory

The main objective of the Department is the enforcement of a special protection regime in the Reserve sections and buffer zones.

The Department includes state inspectors, senior state inspectors of two protected sections and the Head of Department - Deputy Director on the Protection of the Reserved Territory.

To support the work of the Department and control of execution of tasks assigned to the personnel, it is created the Task Force on the Protection of the Reserved Territory which reports directly to the Director of the Reserve.

Protection Department of Federal Zakazniks

The main objective of the Department is the enforcement of a special protection regime in three federal zakazniks, situated on the territory of the Republic of Dagestan - Agrakhanski, Samurski and Tlyaratinski.

The Department includes state inspectors, senior state inspectors of two protected sections and the Head of Department - Deputy Director on the Protection of Federal Zakazniks.

To support the work of the Department and control of execution of tasks assigned to the personnel, it is created the Task Force on the Protection of the Federal Zakazniks, which reports directly to the Director of the Reserve.

 Scientific Department

Key tasks of the Scientific Department are regular monitoring of the condition of protected natural territories and objects, study of processes and phenomena in ecosystems, records in ‘the Chronicles of Nature’ and publication of the Transactions of the Reserve.

The Department includes laboratory assistants, scientists, and the Head of the Department - Deputy Director on Scientific Work.

Department of Ecological Education

Ecological education is one of the most important activities of the Reserve. The Department includes guides, methodologists, and the Head of the Department - Deputy Director on Ecological Education.

The main objectives of the Department is ecological awareness of all groups of people, distribution of knowledge about the Reserve, its natural heritage and nature conservation activities, organization of educational and promotional actions and campaigns.

 

Department for Maintenance of Basic Activities

The basic activities of the reserve are ensured by executive personnel, masters, drivers and administrative staff, directed by the Head of the Department. The main task of the Department is a full logistical support of all structural units of the Reserve.

Accounting and Reporting Department

The financial and economic activities and reporting of the Reserve is provided by the staff of this Department, headed by the Chief Accountant of the Reserve.

Personnel and Legal Department

The main objectives of the Department are work with personnel and legal support of all departments of the Reserve.
